Catholic-New Iberia junior Jaiden Mitchell voted SBLive's Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week

Mitchell caps huge week with double-digit scoring performance in team's win

Jaiden Mitchell had quite a week to remember. 

Mitchell, a junior guard at Catholic-New Iberia, scored 10 points to help lead the Panthers to a 54-34 win against Opelousas Catholic on Dec. 22. Earlier in the week, he was named to the LSWA Class 2A first-team all-state squad for football as a receiver.

For his efforts, Mitchell was voted the SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Dec. 18-24.
