Photos: Brant Smith leads New Hope to 1-0, District-clinching win over Saltillo

It's the 28th District title for the New Hope baseball team

COLUMBUS, Miss. - Brant Smith delivered a masterful performance on the mound and drove in the game's only run with a RBI double to lift New Hope to a 1-0 victory over Saltillo on Tuesday night. 

The win clinched the District title for New Hope (24-3), which means they'll get a first-round bye in the MHSAA 5A playoffs. New Hope will open the playoffs on April 29 against the winner of the Jim Hill vs. Cleveland Central series.
