JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Day 1 of the Missouri Class 3-5 track and field championships was highlighted by several impressive performances the boys side, including a dramatic comeback victory by Rock Bridge's Andrew Hauser in the 1600, impressive wins by long jumpers Joshua Manning (Lee's Summit) and Arhmad Branch (Festus), Southern Boone standout Connor Burns winning the 1600, Nixa freshman Jackson Cantwell claiming the shot put title and Liberty North's Matthew Morrison repeating as the javelin champion.
