Link Academy (12-4)
The Lions might have four losses this season, but each one of those defeats came against fellow teams ranked in the top 6 of the latest SBLive top 25 national basketball rankings.
With a roster that features four players in the Top 100 of ESPN's Class of 2024 rankings — Tre Johnson (No. 4), Labaron Philon (No. 35), Jalen Shelley (No. 43), and James Brown (No. 68) — they have maintained their top-5 ranking with wins over No. 2 Columbus (FL), No. 7 Dynamic Prep (TX), No. 9 AZ Compass Prep (AZ), and formerly-ranked Sidwell Friends (DC).
Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy (12-10)
After winning their second consecutive UIL state championship last year, the Eagles opened the season as the No. 25 ranked team in the SBLive Top 25 preseason rankings but dropped out following a three-game losing streak that began in mid-November.
Despite the lack of a national ranking, OCFFA is still packed with talent, including 6-foot-10 Colorado commit Doryan Onwuchekwa and fellow returning seniors Jazz Henderson and Isaac Williams.
