Buford-Mill Creek on ESPN: How to watch, live score updates (10/13/2023)

Two nationally ranked high school football teams play Friday night on national TV

Update: Mill Creek stunned Buford 31-24.

Buford and Mill Creek high schools are just 9 miles apart, but the two nationally ranked Georgia football programs will meet for just the second time ever Friday night.

And they'll do so on national television.

Buford won the first meeting last October when now-Alabama running back Justice Haynes carried the Wolves to a 39-27 home victory.

Mill Creek plays host this time, as both teams enter the game ranked in the national SBLive/Sports Illustrated Top 25, with Buford at No. 4 and Mill Creek at No. 12.

The undefeated Wolves and Hawks are No. 1 and 2, respectively, in the SBLive Georgia Top 25.

Buford (Georgia)

Buford is led by the 1-2 punch of Dylan Raiola and KJ Bolden, two of the top-ranked senior recruits in the country regardless of position.

Raiola, a Georgia quarterback commit, has dazzled with a number of highlight-reel throws this season, while two-way Florida State commit Bolden has starred on both sides of the ball.

The Wolves are coming off a bye week, so they should be primed to play their best on the national stage.

Mill Creek (Georgia)

Chasing Raiola for Mill Creek will be 6-foot-5, 242-pound senior four-star edge rusher KingJoseph Edwards.

The Hawks' balanced offense is led by junior quarterback Shane Throgmartin, who's completed 76% of his passes while throwing for 878 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Senior running back Cam Robinson has 945 rushing yards in six games (157.5 average) with 12 touchdowns.
