Football schedules for the 2026 season are starting to be announced all across the Garden State and High School On SI New Jersey will share these as we see them.

The five-time New Jersey state champion Red Bank Catholic Caseys, who captured state crowns in 1976, 2014, 2018, 2021, and 2023, will once again test their mettle against a murderer's row of opponents. Head coach Michael Lange's squad, known for its physical brand of Shore Conference football, will again face a non-conference slate that reads like a who's who of Garden State powerhouses, including a crossover clash with a New York giant.

No stretch of the schedule looms larger than the opening weeks, where RBC will collide with multiple teams that earned spots in the final 2025 High School on SI New Jersey State Rankings. The gauntlet begins immediately and promises to separate contenders from pretenders before the calendar even flips to October.

Week 0 Spotlight: DePaul Catholic (9th-ranked, 8-4 in 2025)

The Caseys open their campaign against DePaul Catholic in a Week 0 showdown at Monmouth University. The Spartans from Wayne proved their championship pedigree once more in 2025, repeating as Non-Public B champions with a gritty 21-12 victory over then-No. 11 Paramus Catholic at MetLife Stadium.

Senior quarterback Derek Zammit, headed to Washington of the Big 10 Conference, orchestrated the title-clinching performance. He accounted for all three touchdowns, including a 69-yard scamper that sealed the deal in the fourth quarter. Despite an up-and-down regular season that included some inconsistency, DePaul flipped the switch in the playoffs, a level of play befitting a program that has now claimed three crowns in four years and eight since 2013.

Powerhouse Crossover: New York’s St. Anthony’s

Fresh off the DePaul battle, RBC travels to face St. Anthony’s, a perennial powerhouse from Long Island. While not ranked in New Jersey’s final standings, the Friars bring elite competition from across the Hudson, adding high-profile regional flavor to the Caseys’ demanding slate.

Holmdel Showdown in Week 4 (21st-ranked, 9-3 in 2025)

In Week 4, Red Bank Catholic will host Holmdel, a team that captured its first-ever sectional title in 2025. The Hornets, led by senior record-setting Dartmouth-bound quarterback Jack Cannon, rebounded from early setbacks, including a loss to RBC, to reel off six straight victories.

Cannon was nothing short of electric, scoring 202 points while accounting for 63 total touchdowns through the air and on the ground. During their late-season surge, Holmdel’s offense exploded for an average of 50 points per game. Their first Central Jersey Group 3 crown came via a 41-20 triumph over Seneca, marking a historic breakthrough for a program that had waited 53 years for sectional glory.

Midseason Clash with Defending State Champs: Winslow Township (4th-ranked, 12-2 in 2025)

Perhaps the marquee non-conference tilt arrives in Week 5 when Red Bank Catholic welcomes Winslow Township. The Eagles successfully defended their Group 4 state title in 2025, closing the year on an impressive 11-game winning streak.

In the championship game at Rutgers’ SHI Stadium, Winslow rallied from a deficit to defeat Ramapo 34-21. Junior quarterback Jalen Parker delivered a stellar performance, throwing for 240 yards and two touchdowns. The victory pushed his career total beyond 107 touchdown passes, crowning him New Jersey’s all-time leader in that category.

Wide receiver Quayd Hendryx provided the explosive element, hauling in five passes for 165 yards and two scores while also adding an 87-yard kickoff return touchdown. On the defensive side, standouts Cinque Matthews and Rob Carstarphen anchored a unit that surrendered just 162 points across 14 games, including three shutouts.

Winslow averaged 36 points per game while blending offensive firepower with disciplined defense. Facing this complete team will demand Red Bank Catholic bring its A-game in every phase.

Regular-Season Finale vs. St. Peter’s Prep (6th-ranked, 8-3 in 2025)

The Caseys will close the regular season against St. Peter’s Prep, a program that continues to assert itself among New Jersey’s elite. The Marauders reached the Non-Public A semifinals for the first time since 2021, falling just short in a 25-21 heartbreaker to eventual champion St. Joseph Regional.

St. Peter’s compiled five wins over ranked opponents during the year, including a notable regular-season victory over the Green Knights. Their campaign showcased steady growth, highlighted by talented skill players, strong quarterback play, and a defense capable of matching up with the state’s best.

Gauntlet of a Schedule Preparation for Shore Conference Slate

Additional opponents will fill out the slate, but the early emphasis on ranked competition sets a clear tone. Red Bank Catholic, with its five state titles and proud legacy, thrives on exactly these types of challenges. Navigating DePaul, Holmdel, Winslow, St. Peter’s Prep, in addition to the and the New York crossover.

As the 2026 season approaches, one thing is certain: Red Bank Catholic will be battle-tested long before the playoffs begin.
