Jason Brown, O’Dea: Rushed for 247 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries in a Metro League title win over Seattle Prep.
Emily Baxter, Tenino: Struck out 18 in two games against Hoquiam, allowing just three hits, writes the Centralia Chronicle.
Kamy Dacus, W.F. West: The Bearcats’ junior ace won her second showdown against touted Rochester, striking out 10 and allowing one run in a complete-game victory Friday, writes the Centralia Chronicle.
Amari Goodfellow, Auburn: Sophomore quarterback Amari Goodfellow rushed for 310 yards and seven touchdowns and passed for 216 yards and another score to lead Auburn to a wild 58-55 win over rival Auburn Riverside.
Jessica Waters, Mount Spokane: The sophomore first baseman belted two home runs, and scored five times in a GSL-opening win over Lewis and Clark, writes the Spokesman Review.
Yanina Sherwood, Jackson: The ninth grader has been dominant in her first season in the circle, tossing a pair of 13-strikeout games against 3A contender Snohomish (2-0) and 2019 4A runner-up Lake Stevens (9-3 win), writes the Everett Herald.
Payton Accetturo, Auburn Riverside: Completed 22-of-37 passes for 461 yards and five touchdowns in a 58-55 loss to Auburn.
Ben Nyquist, Lake Washington: Junior guard scored 37 points in a win over Juanita after scoring 25 points in the season-opener.
Katelynn Gelston, Hanford: The junior took over the state lead in the girls discus by a whopping 11 feet, eight inches with her 149-9 toss at a MCC tai-meet against Southridge and Kamiakin.
Jalen Johnson, Renton: Scored 30 points in a season-opening win, then 21 (in three quarters) in back-to-back games against Tyee to open the season.
Stevan Rodriguez, Eisenhower: Did not allow a hit in Eisenhower's sweep of Davis last week.
Amerie Pastores, Foster: The senior guard started her season with a pair of 20-point scoring games, including 29 points and seven steals in a first-game victory over Highland.
Dillan Morrow, East Valley of Yakima: The senior drove in eight runs in a doubleheader sweep over Sunnyside and Grandview. Six of those RBI came against the Greyhounds, writes the Yakima Herald Republic.
Rory Murry, Auburn Riverside: The freshman goalkeeper registered her 6th shutout of the season, accompanied with 4 saves in the 1-0 win vs Tahoma for the NPSL 3A/4A Championship on Thursday night.
