FRISCO, Texas - Khalon Davis passed for 142 yards and the only touchdown of the game and Anthony Hill forced a fumble with less than two minutes to play as Denton Ryan held on to win a 7-6 slugfest with Frisco Lone Star on Friday night at the Ford Center.

With the win Denton Ryan (9-1, 8-0) claims the District 5-5A Division 1 championship and the top seed in the playoffs, which start next week. Both teams came into the game ranked in the SBLive Texas Top 50, with Denton Ryan ranked No. 9 and Frisco Lone Star (8-2, 7-1) ranked No. 35.
