Major Bowden rushed for 284 yards and three touchdowns to lead China Spring to a 34-13 victory over West Orange-Stark in the Class 4A Division II Region 3 championship on Friday night.

TOMBALL, Texas - Major Bowden rushed for 284 yards and three touchdowns to lead China Spring to a 34-13 victory over West Orange-Stark in the Class 4A Division II Region 3 championship on Friday night.

China Spring (14-0) fell behind 7-0 early, but rallied in the second half behind Bowden and running back Kyle Barton, who finished with 100 yards rushing.

China Spring will play Cuero in the state semifinals next week in Round Rock.
