ARLINGTON, Texas - Senior Major Bowden totaled 191 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns to guide China Springs to a 31-7 victory over Gilmer on Friday afternoon in the Texas UIL 4A Division 2 state championship game at AT&T Stadium in front of 23,102.

Bowden scored on a 3-yard run in the second quarter and tacked on scoring runs of 14 and 2 yards in the fourth quarter for the Cougars (16-0). China Springs led 14-7 at the half before holding the Buckeyes (14-2) scoreless in the second half.
