EI Cajon (Calif.) - Sophomore guard Taj Avant-Roberts scored eight of her game-high 20 points during the second quarter in which La Jolla Country Day outscored Victory Christian Academy 25-11 en route to a convincing 72-39 victory Monday afternoon in the MLK Classic hosted by Christian High School.

Jadan Williams contributed nine of her 13 points in the second quarter while teammate Breya Cunningham added 12 points for the Torreys, who improved to 14-2 overall.
Guard Salma Youngblood led Victory Christian Academy (6-5) with 13 points, including two 3-pointers.
