A lot of movement this week within the Top 25 beginning with three moves in the Top 5. Though there were still cancellations and postponements, games were not quite as affected last week as the one before and we expect to see many more teams make their way back on the court this week.

Here are the girls Top 25 for January 24-31:

1.Conway (17-1)

Conway continues to separate itself from the rest of the state after pulling away on the road against No 3 North Little Rock and crushing previously No 5 Central, a game the Lady Wampus Cats led 48-10 at halftime.

2.North Little Rock (14-3)

The Lady Charging Wildcats hung tough with No 1 Conway but could not finish. They bounced back on Friday night escaping defending state champion Northside to move into the No 2 spot.

3.Fort Smith Northside (16-1)

The Lady Bears suffered their first loss of the season in a nail-biter against North Little Rock. They look to get back on track against No 18 Cabot and Little Rock Southwest this week.

4.Melbourne (20-0)

The Lady Bearkatz had to scratch and claw to come out with the victory over a physical Tuckerman squad but stay undefeated with two road trips on the schedule this week.

5.Farmington (21-1)

Farmington took care of Gravette 74-53 in their lone game last week. They have a challenging week ahead against Gentry and arch-rival Prairie Grove.

6.Greenwood (12-4)

Greenwood continues to answer each challenge taking down previously No 11 Siloam Springs and Mountain home. It does not get much easier with Alma, No 23 Greenbrier, and No 8 Vilonia on the schedule for the next three games.

7.Lake Hamilton (15-2)

The Lady Wolves continue to make their presence felt across 5A-South handily beating both Hot Springs and El Dorado.

8.Vilonia (13-2)

The Lady Eagles emerged victorious against previously No 20 Greenbrier and then followed with a dominating performance against Van Buren led by Madeleine Tipton’s 31 points, 22 of which were in the first half.

9.Little Rock Christian (14-2)

The Lady Warriors have now won nine in a row after a Top 25 victory over Jacksonville led by Ashton Elley and Mia Smith’s double-digit scoring performances.

10.Nashville (17-2)

The Lady Scrappers move into the Top 10 after throttling Arkadelphia and should handle their business this week against Mena and Fountain Lake.

11.Central (13-4)

Though it was against top-ranked Conway, the Lady Tigers had a rough showing last Friday night and drop six spots after turning the ball over 14 times in the first quarter.

12.Bentonville (10-6)

After a10-day break, the Lady Tigers get a victory against Rogers and look to add to the win column against Springdale and Fayetteville this week.

13.Har-Ber (12-4)

The Lady Wildcats have emerged victorious in six of their past seven and are continuing to prove their worth in the rugged 7A-West.

14.Marion (14-6)

Marion fell for the first time in 2022 to Greene County Tech and is hoping to get back in the win column this week with challenging matchups against Paragould and Jonesboro.

15.Southside Batesville (18-1)

A cancellation kept the Lady Southerners from playing this week, but they move up six spots due to losses within the Top 25. They are back on the court this week beginning with a road trip to Highland.

16.Bergman (23-0)

Bergman crushed Elkins Friday night in their lone game last week to remain undefeated.

17.Cabot (11-6)

Cabot climbs eight spots following losses to teams ahead of them and defeating previously No 14 Bryant. The Lady Panthers have one of the toughest draws of the week against No 3 Northside and No 2 North Little Rock.

18.Siloam Springs (11-5)

The Lady Panthers drop six spots following back-to-back losses - first to No 6 Greenwood and then they were upset by Russellville. They have a tough week ahead at home against Van Buren and then hit the road to play No 8 Vilonia.

19.Bryant (10-5)

Bryant handled Mount St Mary with no problems, but then were upset by Cabot to drop them four spots out of the Top 15. It will get even tougher for the Lady Hornets this week and they face off against No 2 North Little Rock and No 1 Conway.

20.Jacksonville (10-5)

The Lady Titans remain in the Top 20 after defeating Benton but then stubbed their toe in a 10-point loss to No 9 Little Rock Christian.

21.Nettleton (12-5)

After falling by a point to No 24 Paragould, the Lady Raiders got back on track against Batesville. They look to return to the Top 20 this week.

22.Morrilton (14-4)

After being upset by Pottsville last week, the Lady Devil Dogs took out their frustrations on Clarksville. They hope to continue adding to their new winning streak against Heber Springs and Dardanelle this week.

23.Greenbrier (11-4)

The Lady Panthers lost for the first time in a month to No 8 Vilonia but will hold on to a Top 25 spot after defeating Alma in triple overtime on homecoming.

24.Paragould (11-2)

Paragould escaped with a big one-point victory over Nettleton early in the week but fell short by two points to West Memphis Friday. They have two big games on the slate this week with No 14 Marion and Greene County Tech.

25.Bentonville West (11-5)

The Lady Wolverines were back on the court for the first time in a long time but secured a victory over Rogers Heritage to claw their way back into the Top 25.
