But there were plenty of games to keep an eye on involving teams from the Keystone State and we put together five of the games you shouldn't have missed.
5 GAMES YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE MISSED:
No. 2 Avon 24, Glenville 16
Avon trailed 16-14 almost midway through the fourth quarter, but a 27-yard field goal by Owen Warrick gave the Eagles a 17-16 lead and then an 18-yard touchdown pass from Nolan Good to Paul Leftrict less than a minute later stretched the lead to 24-16.
Good threw three touchdown passes in the game, while Ruel Tomlinson threw a pair for Glenville, including one to Damarion Witten early in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 14-14 before a two-point conversion run by D'Shawntae Jones gave Glenville its only lead of the game.
Glenville, the defending Division V state champions, came into the game riding a 17-game winning streak.
Pickerington North 28, No. 6 Upper Arlington 8
Coming off a dominating 35-14 win over Pine-Richland (Pennsylvania), Pickerington North proved that wasn't a fluke by never trailing against Upper Arlington.
Offensively, three different players scored for Pickerington North, as Sam Williams-Dixon and Michael Taylor had rushing touchdowns and Preston Bowman caught a touchdown pass from Landon O'Connell.
Defensively, not only did the Panthers bottle up the Upper Arlington offense most of the night, but JJ Sebert intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown.
Cleveland Heights 34, No. 10 Hudson 31
Cleveland Heights running back Marquise Davis ran for 333 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries to help hand Hudson its first regular season loss since 2021.
Hudson led 17-0 in the first quarter, but then Davis rattled off touchdown runs of 60, 11, 93 and 13 yards to give the Tigers a 27-17 lead late in the third quarter.
No. 13 Walsh Jesuit 48, Columbus St. Francis DeSales 14
Keller Moten threw three touchdown passes and Brock Sherman and Lucas Weaver each scored twice on the ground as Walsh continues to impress, moving to 3-0.
Walsh led 21-0 at the half and then after St. Francis DeSales responded in the third quarter with a pair of touchdowns, Walsh answered by scoring the last 27 points of the game, a week after scoring 29 unanswered points in the second half.
No. 22 Chardon 28, Avon Lake 10
Quarterback Will Francis and running back Vinny Colombi each scored two rushing touchdowns to get Chardon back on the winning side after a loss last week.
Francis started the scoring with a 7-yard touchdown run and ended it with one from 70 yards out, sandwiched around a 4-yard score and a 3-yard score by Colombi.
Avon Lake's only touchdown tied the game at 7-7 when quarterback Alex Affolter hit wide receiver Carter Birk for a touchdown pass in the second quarter.
