The Bison claim Class 4A title by scoring winning run on seventh-inning single
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Alexis Bumbarger hit a bases loaded single to lift Clearfield over Tunkhannock 3-2 on Friday afternoon in the Pennsylvania (PIAA) Class 4A state softball championship game at Beard Field on the campus of Penn State University.
It marked the first state softball title for Clearfield (23-3).
Lauren Ressler had tied the game for the Bison at 2-2 in the fifth inning with a two-run home run.
