There were two marquee matchups in the Midwest region last week, with St. Edward’s defense dominating in a 14-7 victory over Archbishop Hoban, while Loyola Academy ended Mount Carmel’s 22-game win streak, 23-21, in a matchup of 2022 Illinois state champions. The victory vaults the Ramblers to No. 8 in our regional rankings, one spot behind Hoban.
