Salpointe Catholic (Arizona) five-star edge-rusher Elijah Rushing is ready to announce his college decision.

The 6-foot-5, 251-pound defender, who is rated the nation's No. 8 overall prospect and No. 1 edge-rusher, will make his college commitment at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET Thursday.

Formally down to a final four of Arizona, Notre Dame, Oregon and Tennessee, Rushing is believed to be favoring the Wilcats significantly over the Ducks in the final hours leading to his commitment.

If that is indeed the case, Rushing would become the highest-rated Arizona pledge in the modern era, easily surpassing Servite wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan (No. 51 overall in 2022) and Rancho Cucamonga cornerback Devin Ross (No. 56 in 2006).
