Foley (Alabama) five-star wide receiver Perry Thompson is a special playmaker.

The 6-foot-3, 202-pound pass-catcher is rated the nation's No. 14 overall prospect, No. 4 wide receiver and No. 2 player in the state of Alabama. 

And he showed why Friday night.

Thompson made a diving touchdown grab that required every bit of his athleticism and length.

Overall, Auburn's 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 14 nationally, and is headlined by Thompson, followed closely by Chilton County (Alabama) five-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick and Mater Dei (California) four-star lineman DeAndre Carter, the nation's No. 1 interior offensive lineman. 

Headliner status, however, is not up for debate, as Thompson showed Friday night.
