Mater Dei Monarchs edge Santa Margarita Eagles 61-58 in California high school basketball game

Mater Dei’s Zack Davidson led all scorers with 22 points as the Monarchs beat Santa Margarita Eagles 61-58 in a game at Santa Ana, CA.

Davidson’s points came on 5 field goals, 3 three pointers and 3 of 4 free throws during the game.

Jake Heberle added 13. Santa Margarita fell to 13-2 overall while Mater Dei improved their record to 21-2.

Santa Margarita’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Saturday Jan. 29 versus Escondido. Mater Dei will host Servite on Friday Jan. 28
