Foothills Christian beats La Jolla Country Day 70-57

Foothills Christian’s Jaylen Hands led all scorers with 28 points as the Knights beat La Jolla Country Day 70-57 in a game at Cuyamaca College.”

Hands’ points came on 10 field goals and 8 of 12 free throws during the game.

La Jolla Country Day was led by Matt Bender’s 17 points and Josiah Esselstrom added 13. La Jolla Country Day fell to 0-0 overall while Foothills Christian improved their record to 7-1.

La Jolla Country Day’s next game is scheduled to be played at TPHS on Saturday Feb. 25 at 7:00pm versus Torrey Pines. Foothills Christian will host Orange Glen on Friday Feb. 17 at 8:00pm.
