Mater Dei Monarchs beat Santa Margarita Eagles 70-56 in California high school basketball game

Mater Dei Forward Zack Davidson led all scorers with 27 points as the Monarchs beat Santa Margarita Eagles 70-56 in a game at Mater Dei HS.

Davidson’s points came on 9 field goals and 9 of 12 free throws during the game.

Ethan Rhee added 12. Santa Margarita fell to 20-5 overall while Mater Dei improved their record to 21-5.

Santa Margarita’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Thursday Feb. 2 versus St. John Bosco. Mater Dei will host Servite on Wednesday Feb. 1
