Mater Dei Monarchs defeat JSerra Catholic Lions 62-53 in California high school basketball game

Mater Dei Guard Brannon Martinsen led all scorers with 26 points as the Monarchs beat JSerra Catholic Lions 62-53 in a game at Mater Dei HS.

Martinsen’s points came on 7 field goals, 3 three pointers and 3 of 4 free throws during the game.

Aidan Fowler added 20. J Serra Catholic fell to 13-7 overall while Mater Dei improved their record to 17-5.

J Serra Catholic’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Saturday Jan. 21 versus Costa Mesa. Mater Dei will travel to Colony HS on Saturday Jan. 21 to play Crean Lutheran.
