Mater Dei Monarchs defeat San Juan Hills Stallions 63-52 in California high school basketball game

Mater Dei Guard Scotty Belnap led all scorers with 19 points as the Monarchs beat San Juan Hills Stallions 63-52 in a game at Mater Dei High School.

Belnap’s points came on 2 field goals and 5 three pointers during the game.

Nathan Brosch added 13. San Juan Hills fell to 10-6 overall while Mater Dei improved their record to 16-4.

San Juan Hills’ next game is scheduled to be played at home on Wednesday Jan. 18 versus Capistrano Valley. Mater Dei will travel to Servite HS on Tuesday Jan. 17 to play Servite.
