Birmingham Forward Elisha Cofield led the way with 20 points as the Patriots beat Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits 67-65 in a game at Damien Classic.

Cofield’s points came on 5 field goals, 1 three pointer and 7 of 8 free throws during the game.

Peyton Watson added 14. Long Beach Poly fell to 5-6 overall while Birmingham improved their record to 9-1.

Long Beach Poly’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 3 at 7:00pm versus St. Bernard. Birmingham will travel to TBD on Saturday Jan. 4 at 12:30pm to play Etiwanda.
