Poway Titans edges Cardinal Newman Cardinals 63-61 in California high school basketball game

Poway Guard Adam Sevier led all scorers with 29 points as the Titans beat Cardinal Newman Cardinals 63-61 in a game at Torrey Pines.

Sevier’s points came on 5 field goals, 2 three pointers and 13 of 14 free throws during the game.

Thomas Tyler added 19. Cardinal Newman fell to 0-1 overall while Poway improved their record to 10-1.

Poway will host Temecula Valley on Friday Jan. 3 at 12:30pm.
