Taft edges Birmingham 61-57

Taft’s Demetrius Calip led all scorers with 24 points as the Toreadors beat Birmingham 61-57 in a game at Birmingham High School.”

Calip’s points came on 3 field goals and 6 three pointers during the game.

Birmingham was led by Devonaire Doutrive’s 21 points and Christian Koloko added 16. Birmingham fell to 3-4 overall while Taft improved their record to 0-0.

Birmingham’s next game is scheduled to be played at Cleveland High School on Friday Feb. 9 at 7:00pm versus Cleveland. Taft will host Chatsworth on Friday Feb. 9 at 7:00pm.
