Camarillo Scorpions edges Mater Dei Monarchs 75-71 in California high school basketball game

Camarillo’s J. Jaquez Jr. led all scorers with 29 points as the Scorpions beat Mater Dei Monarchs 75-71 in a game at Cerritos College.

Jaquez Jr. ‘s points came on 7 field goals, 3 three pointers and 6 of 6 free throws during the game.

Aidan Prukop added 19. Mater Dei fell to 21-2 overall.

Mater Dei’s next game is scheduled to be played at Orange Lutheran Hoopfest - Orange Lutheran HS on Monday Jan. 21 at 7:45pm versus St. Bernard.
