La Costa Canyon Mavericks edges Vista Panthers 80-76 in California high school basketball game

La Costa Canyon’s Taro Boyd led the way with 18 points as the Mavericks beat Vista Panthers 80-76 in a game at San Marcos High School .

Boyd’s points came on 3 field goals, 2 three pointers and 6 of 9 free throws during the game.

Makiah Morris added 19. Vista fell to 6-2 overall.

Vista’s next game is scheduled to be played at Escondido High School on Friday Dec. 14 at 7:00pm versus Escondido. La Costa Canyon will travel to on Friday Jan. 4 at 9:30am to play Poway.
