Huntington Park’s Omar Beard led all scorers with 17 points as the Spartans beat Roosevelt Rough Riders 42-30 in a game at Roosevelt high school.

Beard’s points came on 5 field goals and 7 of 11 free throws during the game.

Jose A added 6. Roosevelt fell to 1-1 overall while Huntington Park improved their record to 9-8.
