Chaminade edges Serra 37-32

RB Andrew Vanburen had 308 rushing yards and scored 5 touchdowns to guide Chaminade to a 37-32 win over Serra on Thursday night at Chaminade High School.

The Eagles also recieved helpful efforts from QB Ryan Stevens who completed 9 passes for 141 yards and HB Nash Devan who caught 1 pass for 59 yards.

Serra’s QB Douglas Brumfield threw for 317 yards and 3 touchdowns, RB Mason Bowen picked up 88 rushing yards and WR John Jackson had 114 receiving yards.

With the loss, Serra falls to 2-3 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Chaminade will face off against the Bishop Amat Lancers at home on Friday November 3 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Serra travels to Los Angeles, CA to challenge the Loyola Cubs on Friday October 6 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
