Serra edges Loyola 13-10

QB Douglas Brumfield accumulated 132 passing yards to guide Serra to a 13-10 win over Loyola on Friday night at Loyola High School.

The Cavaliers also received key efforts from RB Kalen Thomas who caught 1 pass for 69 yards and WR Kobe Smith who caught 3 passes for 26 yards.

Loyola’s LB Tommy Vanis threw for 124 yards, RB Jacob McBride picked up 45 rushing yards and CB Davis Warren had 60 receiving yards.

The win helps Serra improve to 3-3 on the season while Loyola falls to 4-3. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Serra travels to Sherman Oaks, CA to face off against the Notre Dame (SO) Knights on Friday October 13 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
