Oceanside Pirates crushes Torrey Pines Falcons 28-7 in California high school football game

Oceanside High School Running back Kavika Tua racked up 245 rushing yards and scored 3 touchdowns to guide Oceanside Pirates to a 28-7 win over Torrey Pines Falcons on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Pirates also received crucial efforts from Cornerback Jaylin Moncrief who caught 2 passes for 66 yards and 1 touchdown and Jakob Harris who completed 5 passes for 79 yards and 1 touchdown.

Torrey Pines’ Brayden Fowler-nicolosi threw for 64 yards and 1 touchdown, Cael helfrich picked up 103 rushing yards and Matt Lauter had 34 receiving yards.

The win helps Oceanside improve to 6-3 on the season while Torrey Pines falls to 4-5. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Torrey Pines will challenge the La Costa Canyon Mavericks at home on Friday November 1 at 7:15pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
