RB Michael Shirley accumulated 210 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to guide Crespi to a 56-0 win over Taft on Friday night at Taft high school.

The Celts also received crucial efforts from QB Diego Tapia who completed 4 passes for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns and WR Taylor Evans who caught 2 passes for 42 yards and 1 touchdown.

Taft’s Henry DiGiovanni threw for 4 yards, Garik Davtyan picked up 13 rushing yards and WR Julian Pineda had 4 receiving yards.

The win helps Crespi improve to 2-0 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Crespi will take on the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines at home on Friday August 31 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
