Mount Miguel defeats La Costa Canyon 52-36

Mount Miguel’s Sylena Peterson led all scorers with 17 points as the Matadors beat La Costa Canyon 52-36 in a game at Tip-Off Classic.”

Peterson’s points came on 4 field goals, 2 three pointers and 3 of 4 free throws during the game.

La Costa Canyon was led by Kaylee Berry’s 15 points and Alexis Machain added 6. La Costa Canyon fell to 6-2 overall while Mount Miguel improved their record to 0-0.

La Costa Canyon’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Thursday Dec. 21 at 6:00pm versus Bishop’s.
