New Castle defeats Westfield 62-45

New Castle Forward Mason Gillis led all scorers with 27 points as the Trojans beat Westfield 62-45 in a game at New Castle High School.”

Gillis’ points came on 11 field goals, 1 three pointer and 2 of 2 free throws during the game.

Westfield was led by Caleb Welch’s 13 points and Josh Van Dyke added 11. Westfield fell to 9-11 overall while New Castle improved their record to 2-0.

Westfield’s next game is scheduled to be played at Kokomo High School on Saturday Feb. 17 at 4:30pm versus Kokomo.
