Walton-Verona Bearcats cruises by North Daviess Cougars 72-42 in Indiana high school basketball game

Walton Verona’s Garrett Jones led all scorers with 21 points as the Bearcats beat North Daviess Cougars 72-42 in a game at New Castle High School.

Jones’ points came on 5 field goals, 3 three pointers and 2 of 4 free throws during the game.

Landon Mokris added 6. North Daviess fell to 1-0 overall.

North Daviess’ next game is scheduled to be played at Shakamak on Friday Jan. 11 at 3:00pm versus Shakamak.
