QB Cole Gilley picked up 125 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to lead Columbus East to a 20-19 win over New Albany on Friday night at New Albany H.S..

The Olympians also received helpful efforts from WR Cody Horner who caught 5 passes for 102 yards and 1 touchdown and RB Lance Griewe who rushed 17 times for 53 yards and 1 touchdown.

New Albany’s QB Dylan Clark threw for 118 yards and 1 touchdown, RB Austin Oppel picked up 154 rushing yards and WR Devon Gummer had 72 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Columbus East improve to 3-2 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
