Columbus East beats New Albany 31-16

RB Lance Griewe picked up 116 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to help Columbus East to a 31-16 win over New Albany on Friday night at New Albany High School.
The Olympians also received crucial efforts from RB Mark McDonald who rushed 24 times for 126 yards and 1 touchdown and QB Cole Gilley who completed 11 passes for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns.
New Albany’s QB Dylan Clark threw for 214 yards and 1 touchdown, RB Austin Oppel picked up 145 rushing yards and 1 touchdown and WR Devon Gummer had 164 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Columbus East improve to 8-2 on the season. Tonight’s game was the second matchup between the two teams. In the previous game Friday September 14, Columbus East came out in front, 31-16.
