Liberty’s Kayel Newland led all scorers with 29 points as the Blue Jays beat Liberty North High School 56-48 in a game at Liberty North Field house.”

Newland’s points came on 4 field goals, 5 three pointers and 6 of 7 free throws during the game.

Liberty North High School was led by Bebe Gist’s 22 points and Jenna Johnson added 10. Liberty North High School fell to 0-0 overall while Liberty improved their record to 2-2.

Liberty will travel to on Tuesday Feb. 28 at 7:30pm to play Truman.
