Poteet Pirates edges North Forney Falcons 49-44 in Texas high school basketball game

Poteet’s Dj Basey led all scorers with 15 points as the Pirates beat North Forney Falcons 49-44 in a game at North Forney.

Basey’s points came on 7 field goals and 1 of 1 free throws during the game.

Gavin Sterling added 8. North Forney fell to 0-1 overall while Poteet improved their record to 10-4.

Poteet will host Forney on Friday Jan. 25 at 5:00pm.
