Royal crushes Newport 21-0

QB Sawyer Jenks picked up 114 passing yards and threw for 1 touchdown to guide Royal to a 21-0 win over Newport on Saturday night at Moses Lake.

The Knights also received vital efforts from WR Corbin Christensen who caught 6 passes for 71 yards and 1 touchdown and RB Lorenzo Myrick who rushed 2 times for 61 yards.

Newport’s koa pancho threw for 60 yards, Danny bradburry picked up 8 rushing yards and tug smith had 48 receiving yards.

The win helps Royal improve to 13-0 on the season. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Royal will face off against the Meridian Trojans at home on Saturday December 2 at 1:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.

Newport travels to Bonners Ferry, ID to challenge the Bonners Ferry Badgers on Friday August 31 at 7:00pm. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
