Holmen Vikings beat Sauk Prairie Eagles 28-21 in WI high school football game

Holmen High School quarterback Bennett Schild racked up 156 rushing yards and scored 1 touchdown to lead the Holmen Vikings to a 28-21 win over the Sauk Prairie Eagles on Friday night in a high school football game.

The Vikings also received helpful efforts from running back Landon Barg who rushed 28 times for 97 yards and 1 touchdown and running back Tay Parcher who caught 2 passes for 47 yards.

Sauk Prairie’s VOS BETLEY threw for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns, running back BROCK MAIER picked up 135 rushing yards and KIPTYN SUCHLA had 68 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.

The win helps Holmen improve to 2-0 on the season while Sauk Prairie falls to 1-1. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.

Holmen travels to Onalaska, WI to challenge the Onalaska Hilltoppers on Friday September 4. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
