Duncanville beats Hutto: Texas high school playoff football game updates (11/10/2023)

Nationally ranked Duncanvillle has began its run for a coveted repeat Texas state championship.

The nationally ranked Panthers (9-1) took down Hutto (4-7) in the bi-district round of the Class 6A Division I UIL postseason on Friday night, 63-7. The victory set up a showdown with the Rockwall-Heath/Sachse winner in the area round.

Duncanville, the No. 3 ranked team in Texas, was led by five touchdowns from LSU commit Caden Durham. The four-star running back rushed for three scores and caught two. Four-star quarterback Keelon Russell, an SMU commit, finished with four touchdowns (three passing and one rushing).

Hutto was led all season by Texas Tech-committed QB Will Hammond, who had one touchdown tonight, and three-star wide receiver Alex Green (1,976 yards and 19 touchdowns during the regular season).
