Comal Davenport defeated Canyon Randall in five games to win the UIL 4A state girls volleyball championship on Saturday afternoon at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.

It marked the first state girls volleyball title for the Wolves. Canyon Randall was the defending 4A state champion.

The Raiders won the first two sets, 25-22 before Comal Davenport stayed alive with a 25-22 win in the third set. The Wolves won 25-21 in the forth game to force a first-to-15-points scenario.
