Lucas Lovejoy swept Liberty Hils in three games on Saturday afternoon to win the UIL 5A state girls volleyball championship at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.

The Leopards won by scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-19.

It marked the 10th state girls volleyball title for Lovejoy.

Freshman Gentry Barker, who was named the MVP, led all players with 17 kills for the Leopards.
