MLB Draft 2022: Toutle Lake pitcher Jackson Cox picked No. 50 overall by the Colorado Rockies

Cox, a second round selection, joins Gonzaga University pitcher Gabriel Hughes as first-day 2022 MLB Draft pitching selections by the Rockies

Toutle Lake's Jackson Cox will have to learn to pitch in thin air.

A round after Colorado selected Gonzaga University pitcher Gabriel Hughes in the first round, they picked Cox with the 50th overall selection, giving the club two power right-handed arms.

What MLB Draft analyst Christopher Crawford says: "Unfortunately, Cox is not a great landing spot for the Rockies. They have not done a great job with pitching development. It's one of the most difficult environments to pitch in."
