As the 2023-24 postseason gets underway, here are SBLive WA's top 25 girls basketball teams, ranked in order:

TOP 25 ALL-CLASSIFICATION GIRLS RANKINGS

1. CAMAS PAPERMAKERS 15-6 (4A)

Passed wild January slate with wins over Garfield and Clackamas - and is hitting stride. All that's left is winning WIAA title.

2. GARFIELD BULLDOGS 13-2 (3A)

Difference in energy, purpose playing December games and March games is palpable. Just watch PG Katie Fiso to know.

3. WOODINVILLE FALCONS 21-2 (4A)

One of coach Scott Bullock's best-shooting perimeter squads has height and length everywhere in dangerous lineup.

4. NOOKSACK VALLEY PIONEERS 21-1 (1A)

Might not be as tall as in recent years, but is more athletic - and disciplined lineup buoyed by all-state PG Devin Coppinger.

5. ELLENSBURG BULLDOGS 19-0 (2A)

Threatening the state's all-time winning streak, two-time defending 2A champions have yet to blink. Passed all tests.

6. MEAD PANTHERS 19-1 (3A)

Everyone knows what's coming - fullcourt defensive pressure. Few have handled it well. PG Teryn Gardner been lights-out, too.

7. KAMIAKIN BRAVES 19-1 (4A)

With all eyes preseason on Chiawana, it was the Braves - and their gnarly length - that stole the MCC show. As good as ever.

8. ARLINGTON EAGLES 18-2 (3A)

Even after Jenna Villa (WSU) graduated, there's been little drop-off. PG Samara Morrow is playing like a top-level playmaker.

9. LYNDEN LIONS 20-1 (2A)

They're big. They're deep. And Payton Mills-Finley Parcher duo packs mean punch. If ball-handling holds up, watch out.

10. MEADOWDALE MAVERICKS 18-3 (3A)

Mavericks can go big and deliberate. They can go small and shifty. And they still have G Gia Powell, one of state's top scorers.

11. LAKE WASHINGTON KANGAROOS 17-3 (3A)

Technically-sound group seemingly has adjustment for every scenario - and rising star in G Ashley Uusitalo.

12. SUMNER SPARTANS 22-1 (4A)

Class of 4A SPSL is deeper, has better post presence and applies pressure on both ends, led by PG Lainee Houillon.

13. LAKESIDE OF SEATTLE LIONS 18-2 (3A)

Pretty obvious G Mia Broom doesn't get the credit she deserves. All-state MVP caliber playmaker has Lions in contending mode.

14. BOTHELL COUGARS 18-4 (4A)

Ascended to No. 2 team in 4A KingCo behind Woodinville, can F McKylee Hawkins and balanced set of guards make March magic?

15. DAVIS OF YAKIMA PIRATES 15-4 (4A)

This version is better than the squad that played in Tacoma last season, paced by savvy PG Esmeralda Galindo and talented ninth graders.

16. CHIAWANA RIVERHAWKS 16-5 (4A)

Personnel-wise with their size, especially C/F Malia Ruud - Riverhawks built for state tournament play in spacious dome.

17. BONNEY LAKE PANTHERS 18-2 (3A)

Navigating this big team and its zone defense is daunting, led by F Jazmyn Shipp. Won't score a ton, but neither should you.

18. ARCHBISHOP MURPHY WILDCATS 16-4 (2A)

Playing harder, faster and more aggressively than last season - and success in 3A/2A Wesco speaks for itself.

19. TAHOMA BEARS 19-2 (4A)

These aren't your big sister's Bears, and that is OK as up-tempo 4A NPSL champions still attack, perimeter shoot with best of them.

20. EMERALD RIDGE JAGUARS 16-6 (4A)

Loss of C Raymiah Jackson (knee) is blow, especially on offense, but always know Jaguars will play tough and defend.

21. NORTH THURSTON RAMS 17-0 (3A)

Lone 3A unbeaten easily won 3A SSC, and survives on fullcourt pressure and attacking style of PG Soraya Ogaldez.

22. EASTLAKE WOLVES 15-7 (4A)

Been a struggle to find that final contending gear, but never count out PG Sofia Aluas (broken thumb) and company.

23. LAKE STEVENS VIKINGS 16-2 (4A)

Up-and-comers breezed through 4A Wesco behind underclassmen Tupua sisters, and Nisa Ellis, one of few seniors.

24. AUBURN TROJANS 20-2 (3A)

Interesting mix of all-ninth grade backcourt with veteran playmaking in frontcourt, led by senior F Emmalee Secrest.

25. GONZAGA PREP BULLPUPS 15-4 (4A)

With no seniors on roster, Bullpups are building for multi-year run out of Spokane, paced by powerful PG Aylah Cornwall.
