2 p.m. Saturday, W.F. West High School

Skinny: Vikings are ultimate "heater" team with streaky 3-point shooting, but Tigers won earlier meeting in December.

8 p.m. Friday, Richland High School

Skinny: Cougars will be seething losing top seed in district finals loss, and will take it out on talented-but-young Bears.

8 p.m. Friday, Wenatchee High School

Skinny: Jacey Boesel-Karsyn Freeman guard matchup should be a doozy - and Pirates clip 2B Central Washington champions in classic.

Pick: Adna, 64-63.

No. 4 Colfax (21-4) vs. No. 5 Rainier (22-3)

8 p.m. Friday, West Valley High School, Spokane

Skinny: G Brynn McGaughy was perfect (14-for-14, 34 points) in last year's state game, so ... what is in store for a blistering encore?

Pick: Colfax, 60-52.

No. 9 Tonasket (20-4) vs. No. 16 Friday Harbor (8-14)

6 p.m. Friday, Grandview High School

Skinny: Tigers were probably a top eight seed ... until Saturday (Mabton win over Warden). They will play like one in lopsided win.

Pick: Tonasket, 71-40.

8 p.m. Friday, Cheney High School

Skinny: Never a bad idea to have a skilled, imposing 6-foot-3 center in middle of playoff action like Gorillas have in Clare Lathrop.

Pick: Davenport, 56-44.

No. 11 Cle Elum-Roslyn (17-7) vs. No. 14 Forks (19-7)

6 p.m. Friday, Ellensburg High School

Skinny: G Keira Johnson and Spartans' zone pressure can be problematic, but G Gracie Glondo is smooth operator for Warriors. 

Pick: Cle Elum-Roslyn, 61-52.

4 p.m. Saturday, W.F. West High School

Skinny: Braves saw core state-tournament group graduate last spring. Next wave too young to solve Toutle Lake's guard pressure.
