Angels Spring Training Renovations Officially Underway

Los Angeles Angels general manager Perry Minasian revealed that construction has begun on the team's Spring Training facility in Tempe, Arizona this week. The renovations plan to improve the Angels' practice facility and clubhouse, as well as add a high-tech pitching lab to boost the team's pitching. The renovations are expected to be done in time for the start of Spring Training in 2025.

The Angels also plan to renovate their Spring Training stadium, Tempe Diablo Stadium, but construction on their stadium will not begin until after Spring Training next year, via Jeff Fletcher of the OC Register.

In the meantime, the Angels are returning home to Los Angeles as they get set to hold their 2024 home opener on Friday. The Angels have begun their season on the road, traveling to face the Baltimore Orioles and Miami Marlins. After a rocky 0-2 start that led to an early season team meeting, the Angels have won four straight, highlighted by their dominant 10-2 win over the Marlins on Wednesday.

Now, the Angels will face the Boston Red Sox for their first three-game series at home. They'll face the Tampa Bay Rays at home after the Red Sox, before heading back on the road again.
