Another Former Dodgers Reliever Joins Houston Astros on MiLB Deal

He's the second one to join Houston this offseason.

Another former Dodgers reliever has signed with the Astros, as Tayler Scott joined Houston on a minor league deal, per the MLB.com transaction tracker.

Scott, 31, appeared in six games for the Dodgers in 2023, sporting a 9.00 ERA in six innings. Scott also played with the Boston Red Sox and Oakland Athletics in 2023, and has bounced around the league since he debuted in 2019.

Scott played for the Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres before 2023, and will hope to make Houston his 7th MLB home. Scott has a career 9.00 ERA in 46 innings pitched.

Scott joins another former Dodger in Houston on a minor league pact, as Wander Suero signed with the Astros earlier this offseason. Both will be competing for a spot on the big league roster at some point in 2024.

Every team wants pitching depth in baseball, and both Scott and Suero have proven they can contribute at the MLB level.
