Dodgers Fans Predict Clayton Kershaw Retires This Offseason, According to Latest Poll

The end of the road?

Clayton Kershaw gave Dodger fans plenty of memories throughout his first 16 seasons at Chavez Ravine.

His most recent start however will be one to forget after he suffered the shortest outing of his career due to six runs allowed before the first inning ended.

Shoulder injuries and his advanced age have plenty of Dodger fans wondering just what comes next for their future Hall of Famer.

For certain supporters of the Boys in Blue, a majority of them believe that this was the last we'll see of the southpaw in Los Angeles.

Kershaw added to his ridiculous regular season pedigree after yet another season with an ERA level below 2.50.

Peripheral numbers suggested that Kershaw got lucky to avoid worse outcomes due to diminished command and velocity to end the season but Dave Roberts ignored these underlying factors to head into the 2023 NLDS.

Kershaw rewarded such faith poorly after he allowed six Diamondbacks to cross the plate and set the tone for an overall forgettable series for the Dodgers.

Game 1 quickly went off the rails from that point on and Kershaw watched in disgust after LA got blown out 11-2 in the series opener.

Games 2 and 3 ended with the same results as Arizona beat the Dodgers on the road then back home at Chase Field by identical scores of 4-2.

Though Kershaw's start was the worst of LA's three in the postseason, both Bobby Miller and Lance Lynn didn't fare much better in their limited showings.

Recent memory will once again reinforce that Kershaw wasn't a good postseason pitcher but the memories he's given Dodger fans over the past 15 should far outweigh the painful ending to 2023.

A no-hitter, the franchise leader in strikeouts, a World Series championship and several other accomplishments should be all that Kershaw is remembered for in his long and storied career.
